VACANCY NOTICE: Short Term Consultants – National Coordinators Re: Strengthening Capacities of Early Warning and Response for Tsunamis and Other Coastal Hazards in the Caribbean Project

The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO is seeking to hire Individual Consultants to provide national coordination services and support to its Caribbean Tsunami information Centre (CTIC) in
each of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda; Barbados; St Vincent and the Grenadines; and Trinidad and Tobago The Individual Consultants will have responsibility for coordinating the implementation of activities in their respective countries for the “Strengthening Capacities of Early Warning and Response for Tsunamis and Other Coastal Hazards in the Caribbean” project which is being funded by a grant from the European Commission European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO).
UNESCO/IOC and its CTIC will provide oversight of the Individual Consultants, who must be available on a part time basis (50%) for the entire duration of the assignment and will be home-based.
