Caribbean nationals are invited to apply for a Climate and Society Master’s Programme Scholarship to develop knowledge related to climate change adaptation and water resources management  at Columbia University. Applications for the Master’s Program in Climate and Society at Columbia University were due on April 1, 2014, but the admissions deadline has been extended on a rolling basis for qualified applicants from the Caribbean. One full scholarship is available for the 2014-2015 academic year.

The scholarship is provided by “Building Capacity to Manage Water Resources and Climate Risk in the Caribbean,” a partnership between the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI), the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology (CIMH), and the Center for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES) at the University of West Indies (UWI).  The project is funded by the Department of State (DOS) through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Higher Education for Development (HED), and The Energy and Climate Partnership for the Americas (ECPA).
