A team of 20 twenty staff members from the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre and a representative from the Caribbean Development Bank, Operations Officer Mr Daniel Best, are involved in a three day training exercise (June 12-14) to boost capacity for the use of the Caribbean Climate Online Risk Assessment TooL (CCORAL) ahead of its high profile launch in St. Lucia next month.
CCORAL is an online open source tool intended to help users make climate resilient decisions, take appropriate action in response to a variable and changing climate, apply a risk management approach in decision-making and ultimately deliver climate resilient development.
The training now underway in Belmopan, Belize is being led by a team of consultants from the United Kingdom-based consulting group Acclimatise.
The seminal online tool has been developed with support from the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID) under the Caribbean Climate Risk Management Project. Learn more about the CRMP.
